CHRISTMAS
HAMPERS PROGRAM
The Christmas Hampers Food and Gift Program is organized in conjunction with other churches and service
groups in the Chatham/Miramichi area whose aim is to assist in making Christmas better for those in need.
COMMUNITY
KITCHEN
Purpose: To provide a safe, positive Christian environment each week in which needing people may acquire
a good, hot meal and be part of a friendly Christian fellowship. Currently, the Community Kitchen operates on Mondays from
4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
We pray that, through God's grace, we can provide hope, encouragement, kindness, a listening ear,
a smiling face and an open, receptive heart to those who frequent the Monday afternoon meals.
EVANGELISM MINISTRY
This ministry is concerned with proclaiming the Gospel to the community and reaching out to newcomers and inactive Anglicans
so that they might have a personal relationship with Jesus through witness, Bible studies, the ALPHA program and social activities.
MEN'S FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST
These breakfasts are generally held
once a month at various locations and involve a breakfast, fellowship, singing and personal testimony. The breakfast starts
at 9:00 a.m. and usually ends around 11:00 a.m. It is an excellent opportunity for men to attend a friendly Christian gathering.
Once or twice a year there is a ‘Men & Women's Breakfast' at the Newcastle Lions Centre with the same format.
MEN'S PRAYER TIME
This group meets at 6:00 a.m. to approximately 7:30 a.m. each Friday. The group
meets at St. Mary's and is attended by men from different denominations, varied work backgrounds and age groups. However,
the men all have a ‘single purpose', which is a heart's desire for our Miramichi community to be Christian and
its people to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. The meetings usually include a time of worship, prayer and sharing.
MIRAMICHI
YOUTH HOUSE INC.

the opportunity for action to create a safe and secure environment for youth-at-risk to develop and grow positively within
their family, their community and their school.
Program : MYH provides temporary transitional housing for male
and female youth, aged 16 to 19, in times of crisis and emergencies. Youth will be encouraged to address their educational
and employment needs as well as basic life and social skills and will be supported with any issues they may be encountering.

V.I.M. (Visit Inform Minister)
Purpose: VIM
is a parish visitation program to encourage those within the Parish of Chatham to become regular attendees; to provide information
on programs and activities; to visit the sick or shut-in(s) to ensure ongoing fellowship and encouragement and to follow-up
with those who attend worship for the first time.
An information package has been developed and will be distributed
to all who are interested.
SOCIAL/HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
Purpose: To express our Christian witness
in a sociable, friendly manner. To meet and greet people and make them feel welcome at our church.
This purpose
is achieved in part by helping with meals for church functions and receptions. The ministry also contacts shut-ins, by telephone
or personal visits, in order to keep them up to date on church activities and decisions.
YOUTH MINISTRY
Purpose: To reach out to youth who have yet to be challenged or impacted by the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This can be accomplished within the cultural and personal opportunities that are available in the City of Miramichi
by hosting community focused youth events and by developing and enhancing ministries within the church fellowship that are
relevant and inviting.
