Youth Ministry

Greetings! Thank you for taking the time to check out the youth page for the Anglican Parish of Chatham. If you are looking for specific information regarding upcoming youth events please check the EVENTS calendar . If you require more information please contact me at the Anglican Parish of Chatham by phone or email. If you are here to learn more about the youth ministry happenings in the parish please continue reading.

I was hired in May 2006 as part of an ongoing effort to minister to young people more effectively and consistently. There are currently several programs available for youth to attend:

Junior Youth Group is geared toward elementary school youth, with a typical afternoon consisting of a short lesson, games, a snack, a fun craft, and some prayer time. Junior Youth Group happens at St. Mary's on Sundays from 1:30 to 3:00 .

Senior Youth Group is geared toward youth in high school , or mature, confirmed middle school youth (middle school youth may attend at the discretion of their parents or guardian). Senior Youth Group meets Thursday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 at St. Mary's. The evening centres around two things: discussion and games.

There are also Bible studies available for youth as need and interest arises. In addition to this there will also be various events happening throughout the year.

I believe that youth ministry is more than having groups and activities for young people, but ultimately seeks to find ways to help young people grow in their relationship with the Lord and get involved in the life and work of the parish.

I have worked for the Anglican Church in some capacity since 2001, either as paid staff or as a volunteer. I received some formal training from Taylor College of Evangelism and from Atlantic Baptist University , where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a double major in History and Biblical Studies. Future plans include attending Wycliffe College to pursue a Master of Divinity; and hopefully one day being ordained in the Anglican Church. My wife Laura (who presently works as a high school teacher) and I currently have no children but look forward to expanding the family in the near future.

Please check this page and especially the Events calendar for updates.
